New platform for a new era

The Balkan Security Network (BSN) is the successor of a civic initiative called Euro-Atlantic Initiative (EAI) founded in Belgrade, Serbia in 2006. EAI conducted numerous defense and security related media projects in partnership with the Serbian and Montenegrin Ministries of Defense, European Commission, Embassies of the U.S., Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Norway, Netherlands, Slovenia, German Marshall Fund of the United States, UN Department for Peacekeeping Operations, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, NATO PDD, Norwegian People's Aid, Centre for Democratic Transition (Podgorica) and Center for Youth Work (Novi Sad), and dozen of media outlets and TV stations in the region.


The BSN was established by the EAI founder Daniel Sunter and senior regional defense & security analyst Aleksandar Radic (Serbia); defense and security editor Igor Tabak (Croatia); defense and security reporter Aleksandar Srbinovski (Macedonia). They worked for or appeared in numerous regional and international media including  Serbian National Public Broadcaster (RTS), Croatian National Television (HRT), N1 regional CNN affiliated cable news network,  Al-Jazeera, Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR), V.I.P. News Services, CNN, BBC News Services, The Economist.

- Evroatlantska revija (Euro-Atlantic Review) quarterly magazine for decision and opinion makers in Serbia and in Montenegro. Review provided local, regional and international in-depth news analysis, facts & figures and content from international sources including NATO Review, RUSI, Carnegie Policy Briefs, EU Institute for Security Studies (EUISS), SIPRI, Defence Academy of the UK, COMISAF initial assessment.


- Balkan Intelligence Monthly (previously known as Defense & Security Biweekly) was published from 2000 till 2015. The publication provided news and news analysis on key defense and security issues in Serbia, Montenegro, and to some extent Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia.


Video production on regional defense and security topics, exercises, disaster relief, public debates, peacekeeping operations, refugee crisis, border control, cross-cutting issues, history and human interest stories.
